Cambridge: Favorite Shops and Cafes

Here are some of my favorite stores and cafes in Cambridge:

Hi-Rise Bread Company on Brattle Street - Great soups, small sandwiches, coffee, lemonade, and cookies. Nice outdoor seating.

Burdick's Chocolate (next to Hi-Rise) Specialty chocolates and desserts. The hot chocolate is supposed to taste like drinking a chocolate bar.

Crema Cafe - my all-time favorite cafe in Cambridge. Yummy sanwiches and definitely pay the extra $1 for the sweet potato chips. Bakery items (including dairy and wheat free) and great hot and cold drinks. Red Crema (rooibos tea) is my personal favorite.

A cool new gift and unique stuff store...hard to explain but fun to browse.

Cupcake store - I still maintain that my cupcakes are better but it has a cute decor.

Border Cafe- Great place for late night and cheap (but good) margaritas!

Relatively New Otto's pizza - have not tried it but it smells amazing and a friend said that it was good.

Cambridge Savings Bank and Harvard T station - I mean, who wouldn't want to store his money in the bank that was robbed in "The Town" and that is in the super sketchy Harvard Square area which has more young, down and out troublemakers than any other tourist area in Boston?

Au Bon Pain (ABP) featured in "Good Will Hunting." I love the outdoor seating although ABP is nothing special. The caprese sandwich on multigrain baguette is not bad though.
